The Hebei Tianzhu Charity Foundation is a 3A level non-public foundation managed by the Hebei Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. The initiator of the foundation is Ms. Meng Lanzhi, Chairman of Hebei Tianzhu Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., a veteran party member of the same age as the Republic of China. Since its establishment on June 25, 2019, the foundation has fully implemented the central government's decision and deployment on rural revitalization work, actively responded to the call of the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, and continued to carry out 17 public welfare projects, with a total donation of over 6.99 million yuan. Among them, the poverty alleviation project carried out at Cunrui Middle School in Longhua County, Chengde City, Hebei Province mainly targets students with both moral and academic excellence but poor families, helping them reduce their living burden, At the same time, we will help teachers improve their teaching environment and hardware facilities, and better conduct online teaching and after-school tutoring. In addition, in the form of financial assistance, the Foundation also donated 150000 yuan to the Veterans Care Foundation in Fengrun District, donated 5 million yuan to Fengrun District and Haigang Economic Development Zone after the outbreak of COVID-19, and donated 30000 yuan to Hengshui Social Welfare Institute for caring activities for orphaned and disabled children. In October 2020, the foundation established the "Heaven Assisted Learning Program", with the "Class Book Corner" project as the core, aiming to provide children in poverty-stricken areas with books to read. While enjoying the joy of reading, they can increase their knowledge and broaden their horizons. As of the end of 2022, a total of 604 book corners have been established, covering 58 primary and secondary schools in Hezhang County, Leting County, and Haigang Economic Development Zone in Guizhou Province. 604 bookcases have been donated, with over 70000 books, directly benefiting more than 36000 students.
